The Long Night is a mod for the action role-playing game, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. It converts the game by adding all the Game of Thrones factions. This includes White Walkers, giants, and other mythical creatures. The focus of this mod is to add the fantasy into this medieval game as well as add tons of new troops GoT fans are familiar with like The North, Souther Kingdom, Dothraki, Unsullied, etc.
Fight the Night Walkers
The Long Night adds characters from the Game of Thrones to the medieval world of Mount & Blade II. You’ll see the families, clans, and thieves from the show. The story of the mod is that the White Walkers are after the kingdoms that have united against them. Fans of MB2 will see that the Sturgian heroes have been replace with the White Walkers, including the Night King. It will take more than spears to take them down.
Dragonglass and Valyrian Steel can kill them after several hits on the head. It has special damage modifiers that cause more damage than the regular weapons; however, the mod still allows you to acquire arrows and swords. The best way to utilize this is to overwhelm your enemies with as many weapons as possible. White Walkers will also have weapons of their own so it is important to be resourceful with your arsenal.
The mod is based on the Game of Throws television show; it takes place after the death of Ned Stark and the resurrection of the White Walkers. In the game, they’re fast and strong opponents that will be difficult to run away from. It will be hard to kill a horde of them but it is possible. You will have a leveled playing field with them as there is a limited range of weapons to choose from.
Adds a twist to the medieval game
The Long Night adds an extra level of difficulty to the medieval environment of Mount & Blade II by adding the villains of Game of Thrones into the game; however, the mod has only provided a few mythical weapons you can use to take them down. It will be challenging to win, but it will be rewarding.
